Individual Volunteer Opportunities
Family & Elders Program Participant
Families and individuals are matched with isolated elders who have little or no visitation. The goal of the program is for the volunteers and the elders to develop mutually rewarding relationships. Volunteers become companions, families and advocates for their “adopted” elders. If you are interested in this program, please contact us for a volunteer application and to reserve space in our next “Family and Elders Program” volunteer orientation.
Youth & Elders Group Leader
With your help Bessie’s Hope can facilitate more and more Youth & Elder visits in the metro area. Volunteer group leaders become the Bessie’s Hope representative at these visits. After an 1.5 hour training and observation of a certified facilitator leading the visits, you can be matched with our own youth group. in conjunction with the youth group’s adult supervisor you can help bring the generationas together and watch them develop life changing relationships. Contact Linda Holloway at 303-830-9037 or email@example.com for more information.
Community & Elders Participant
We are currently looking for more volunteers to participate in already established Community & Elder groups that visit different nursing homes in the Metro area. This is a fun, upbeat, one-hour volunteer opportunity. You are welcome to bring children of any age along. Please contact Darleen Stiny at 303-830-9035 or at Darleen@bessieshope.org.
Special Events/Fundraising Projects
To continue our valuable work, Bessie’s Hope depends on fundraising . Volunteers are needed to assist in the planning and implementation of fundraising projects and events. Examples are: Annual Bessie’s Hope Gala and annual Bowl-a-thon. Contact Linda 303 830-9037 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
With expanding programs, it is hard to find the time to complete all the necessary administrative tasks. Whether it’s coming into the office once a week, once a month, or working on mailings and phone calls from home, we need and appreciate the help. Volunteers in this area help fulfill our mission just as much as individuals who actually volunteer in the elder care facilities. Contact Phillip at 303-830-9457 or email@example.com
If you are knowledgeable in Marketing and Public Relations, Bessie’s Hope could use your help in expanding community awareness of our work.Contact Linda 303-830-9037 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
